Watering Blueberry Plants
The trick with watering blueberry bushes is keeping them moist. The way we prefer to water our blueberry bushes is by drip irrigation. However, this is not always cost effective for a home gardener.
When watering your blueberry bushes you don’t want to water the leaves. Instead, water the base of the plant, that way the water can sink down into the ground where the roots are. A soaker hose would work well for an irrigation, or just hand water the base of the plant as needed.
Keep the roots of the blueberry plant moist, but not soupy. If the plant is looking droopy or wilting it most likely needs more water.
