It is extremely important that your soil is right for blueberry plants. Blueberry plants like acidic soil between the pH of 4.5 and 5.5. When testing your soil for blueberry plants you can either test it yourself or use a local agricultural extension office. If you decide to test your pH yourself then you can buy a product on amazon called Luster Leaf 1612 Rapitest pH Soil Tester. It comes with 10 tests and instructions on how to use it. If you choose to use a local extension office, call the office and ask them what you need to bring with you for the testing. Generally they want soil samples from a couple places in the yard or farm about 4 inches or so into the ground.
We are hoping to post some videos soon to show you how to take a soil sample and test it using the Luster Leaf Rapitest.
